The nursing team are a group of experienced nurses, specially trained to promote health and provide skilled nursing care to people in their own homes. Anyone is free to refer to the service which operates 7 days a week.

Every school has a named school nurse who can be contacted through school or at the health clinic. The school nurses role is to offer support to both children and their families as necessary, to promote health, and provide health promotion.
Also to monitor children’s health and development at school through screening of vision, hearing, height and weight, immunisations and any other health problems that may develop.
Sam is a qualified nurse with special training and experience in child health, health promotion and education. She offers practical support and advice in a host of diverse situations, and to help you and your family, and is part of a wider health care team serving your community. Her base is Overton Clinic attached to Overton Surgery. Monday to Thursday 8:45 am - 5:00 pm & Friday 8:45 a.m - 4:35 p.m.
A baby/drop-in Clinic is held every Thursday 1:30pm - 3:30pm (from Jan 2014). Check reception for further details.

If you have any acute musculoskeletal problems, (back pain, pains in your limbs, joint sweiing, etc etc), he will offer information and advice, suggestions as to suitable exercises and possibly onward referral to secondary care.
